In fact, it was used as a demo language to write Jim Muller’s Logo manual called The Great Logo Adventure. Developed by George Mills, it is a free and open source program with source code available in Borland C++. Also, it has the same core as Brian Harvey’s UCBLogo. Has MSWLogo really become FMSLogo, another free but more advanced implementation of the Logo language to use MSWLogo? MSWLogo is ideal for use in creating games or dedicated software for Windows. It is a convenient choice for learning to code, especially for children or beginners in programming. It’s incredibly easy to learn, but by no means a boring platform, as it contains charts and graphs that it uses, its user interface is as basic as it sounds. It works a bit like using MS Basic, so if you’re familiar with it, it won’t need a learning curve. On the other hand, there are also tons of tutorials and even video guides to get you started with Logo, so you can create your own square or chart in no time. Can I download MSWLogo to my computer? Officially download this programming tool from the developer page. It is important to note that this software solution is mostly compatible with older versions of Windows. Then, if you have a modern system, it is more recommended to download FMSLogo. There are also non-English kits available for this desktop application, including German, Portuguese, Japanese, and two French adaptations. In addition, it supports multiple turtles and 3D computer graphics. This PC programming environment can be easily installed on the system as soon as possible. More importantly, it no longer needs additional configurations to run. Intuitive but extremely limited, MSWLogo is an excellent way for beginners and kids to get started with logo-based programming. It is very intuitive mainly because of its simple user interface that allows you to explore and perform tasks quickly. However, if you are already an expert in this field, this will be a very limited tool for you, as it does not allow you to go very far and do more progressive programming activities.
