A hardcore platformer inspired by the classic Jack and the Beanstalk saga, SCKR Games Only Up! is a paid platform game where you help the game’s main character, Jackie, a teenager, to get out of poverty through a maze of tubes, trains and trains suspended in the air. Although it’s quite short, be aware that it doesn’t have a checkpoint or save system. If you fall, you have to start over and come back up again. So just wake up! it doesn’t appeal to players who have limited free time or don’t like hardcore platformers. Slowly but surely. Just wake up! starts with Jackie in the slums, where you have to find an elevator to reach the heights. As you explore the slums, you will notice that no one is moving there except for the birds. As you climb, be prepared to run through narrow pipes and climb or jump over objects. Jackie can even jump on the bed to get to higher ground faster. So even a simple mistake can send you back to the wasteland, which is frustrating if you’ve already made a lot of progress. Even though there is no auto save or manual save in this adventure game, it teaches you patience and persistence. This instills the value of slow and steady progress to achieve, as this is a niche title that only appeals to a certain player base, especially those with a lot of free time because closing the game will reset your progress. It’s short, but expect to spend hours on your first playthrough. Also, there is a problem with Jackie getting stuck on objects. If this happens, you must restart. Another downside is lag and other performance issues.
